Overview
The FireWatch™ Series of IP Communicators are designed to transmit fire alarm system information to central monitoring stations over any standard IP network (i.e. LAN, WAN, DSL, cable, etc.). Fire-Lite’s IP Communicators connect to a fire alarm control panel’s standard telephone ports, no changes to the panel’s existing configuration are required. The Advanced IP Communicator provides exclusive upload/download capabilities. Communicating through a modem at the panel, Fire-Lite’s Advanced IP Communicator transmits all information digitally over IP via TCP/IP protocol, secured with the industry’s highest level of encryption (AES 512 bit). This fully-digital transmission method eliminates common dropouts in modem communications caused by noise or other factors.
